CareForce helps raise awareness during World Alzheimer’s Month 2011

In past years, the Alzheimer’s Association has joined organizations and people around the globe on September 21 for World Alzheimer’s Day. This year, we are excited about the designation of the entire month of September as World Alzheimer’s Month.  CareForce has gotten 100% behind raising awareness and raising money for research and treatment.  Along with our community partner; SNAPforSeniors(TM) we have formed a walking team and proudly participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s September 10th at the Seattle center.  Please consider walking with us or making a donation at the linked site.

On September 21st, (World Alzheimer’s Day) we are proud sponsors along with our community partner; Aegis at Callahan House in hosting Dr. James Leverenz, M.D..  Dr. Leverenz is the Associate Professor of Neurology, Psychiatry and Behavior Sciences and a Research Affiliate, Center on Human Development and Disability at the University of Washington. Dr. Leverenz is a research leader in his field.  This will be a morning presentation from 8a-9a entitled “Our Common Challenges Solving the Puzzle of the Aging Brain”
