Last Saturday, CareForce teamed up with community partners SNAPforSeniors and Key Solutions and walked together to raise money for Alzheimer’s research. Together we raised almost $1500 for the Alzheimer’s Association. The CEO of SNAPforSeniors; Eve Stern and I talked up a storm during the walk and the time just slipped away. This experience got me thinking about what it means to be collaborative. It’s so much nicer when we can join hands on some shared initiatives to do the work at hand. It took the pressure off a little bit in fund raising by casting a larger net with 3 organizations. Long and short of it is that by looking for shared opportunities and doing the work together creates a larger audience and encourages community. All good things in my book. I appreciate the work we did together here and look forward to doing it again.
