Home Care Agency Continues to Grow within the Community
With a small office in Lynnwood, WA, CareForce began operations with its founder and two part time employees on January 2, 1999. CareForce quickly developed a reputation as one of the most trusted home care agencies in the Puget Sound area. Today with over 145 employees, CareForce is recognized and respected for its exceptional caregivers, outstanding customer service, rapid response times, and written reliability guarantee.
Before opening CareForce, founder Diedrich Meinken, MSW and co-owner Susan ‘Sam’ Miller, MN, RN had amassed over 50 years of professional experience in health care practice, administration, supervision, consultation and training. Home care industry standards and licensing requirements did not meet the quality standards they had employed in their previous positions. In response, they developed a company that would live up to its Mission, “To Improve the Quality of Care for Vulnerable People”. CareForce hiring standards, including prior professional experience, competency testing, and a background check of national criminal records and the State registry of abuse and neglect findings, still exceed licensing and industry standards.
In 2006 the company added Geriatric Care Management to its service array. In 2007 CareForce earned its Home Health license and began provide nursing services in the home. In 2008 a second office was opened in Tukwila, and CareForce introduced its innovative CarePack® Transition Services.
CareForce celebrates this Anniversary milestone having received the 2009 Business Excellence Award for Health Care from the South Snohomish County Chamber of Commerce, the 2009 Home Care Association of Washington’s Home Care Aide of the Year and the 2008 Support Staff of the Year while maintaining 98% customer satisfaction since it welcomed its first clients.
