Diedrich Meinken MSW – Owner- Chariman of the Board:
Diedrich holds a B.S. degree in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley and earned his Master of Social Work degree at Eastern Washington University. Diedrich managed healthcare systems for over 20 years prior to opening CareForce in 1999. Diedrich served as Executive Director of mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disability services for Stevens County in Colville, Washington. Diedrich has coached youth basketball. His latest avocation is volunteer photographer for Sound Steps, a King County Parks and Recreation activity programs for seniors. Diedrich retired as president of CareForce in January, 2016.
In addition to being active in the company and her community Sam Miller is also a very involved in the UW nursing program. Sam is a member of the U.W. School of Nursing Advisory Board. She serves as a board member at large for the Home Care Association of Washington, on the advisory board for the DeTornyay Center for Healthy Aging at the University of Washington School of Nursing, and as a community advisory member of the Northwest Roybal Center at the UW School of Nursing. She is an avid cyclist volunteering in her local Cascade Cycling Club. In addition she enjoys keeping up her perennial flower garden. Sam and Diedrich are married with two sons and a bossy dog. Sam and Diedrich have lived in Snohomish County for over 24 years.
Esther Cooper – Director of Staffing:
Esther Cooper, born and raised in Seattle, has been working for CareForce since 2002; she not only directs staffing but the company’s Human relations department as well. In 2008 Esther won the Home Care association of Washington’s Support Staff of the year award. She is also very active in her nieces’ Drill team. In her spare time she enjoys, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family.
Lara Davidson- Director of finance:
Lara Davidson was born and raised in Aspen, Colorado and has lived in Washington for 26 years. Lara has been with CareForce since 2008. In 2013 she was awarded with the Homecare association of Washington’s Community service award for her involvement in Multiple Sclerosis Bike MS, Making Strides against Breast Cancer, as well as encouraging her co workers to join community events. She is a Die-hard Denver Broncos fan, and in her spare time, Lara loves to read.
Jessica Redwood- RN:Jessica graduated with from Everett Community College in 2005. She has extensive clinical experience and has worked for Careforce as a care manager since April 2014. She has lived in Washington all of her life, growing up in the Seattle area before settling down in Snohomish county. When not at work she is busy with her family, either on the sidelines of her kid’s sporting events or dirt bike races, in the garden with her assortment of farm animals or traveling and enjoying the company of her friends and family.
Carolyn Anderson- RN: Carolyn has been an RN since 1982. After raising her 2 kids, she returned to work as an RN with her primary focus on Geriatrics and homecare. She has
enjoyed working at Careforce since February 2015 as a Care Manager. Carolyn enjoys spending time with her husband and children, sewing, creating and riding her bike (when she doesn’t have a broken leg).
Leora Carlson- RN: Leora Joined CareForce in March of 2016.
Leora is a registered nurse and studied at Skagit Valley College. Leora has worked in the Home care field since 1997.
Kim Nicholas- MSW: Kim has her Master’s Degree in Social Work and a specialist certificate in Geriatric Mental Health from the University of Washington. She has been a social worker for over 30 years and also enjoyed her 12 years as an independent bookstore owner in Seattle. Kim has worked at CareForce since 2010. She is passionate about reading, travel, and ice cream-preferably doing all at the same time!
Kelly Anderson- Receptionist: Kelly was born and raised here in Western Washington, she started working for CareForce in 2013 . In her spare time she likes to relax, spend time with her dog, and watch football. She is a Die-Hard Seattle Seahawks Fan. Kelly currently holds a degree as a medical administration assistant.
Veronica de Gier-Payroll and Billing specialist: Veronica was born and raised in the Netherlands where she received her degree in Business Management. She is involved in the Snohomish county Department of Emergency Management and MRC. She started working for CareForce in 2008, and is currently training for the Portland Marathon in October. She is a Die Hard Denver Broncos Fan.
Elizabeth Kongo-Staffing specialist: Elizabeth was born and raised in Kenya. Elizabeth has been with CareForce for 10 years. In 2011 she was awarded the Home Care association of Washington’s Support Staff of the year award. Elizabeth is actively involved in a community service project which builds libraries in and around her hometown.
Melissa Mwangi- Staffing Specialist: Melissa was born in Kenya, and raised in Western
Washington. She started working for CareForce in 2014 as a caregiver and was promoted to a staffing position in 2015. In her spare time Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and friends, volunteering at a non-profit organization that supports orphans in Kenya, and being involved in church activities as a youth leader and as a part of the worship team. She is currently pursuing higher education in the medical field.
