Payment and Service Deposit Policies
Most of our clients pay privately for their CareForce services. We also accept payment for services from long -term care insurance, private insurance, Veteran’s administration and Washington State labor & industries. Some insurers may limit the number and type of homecare visits that they will pay for and may require pre-certification and/or co-payments. We will inform you, your family, caregiver or guardian of all charges and methods of payment before or upon admission. Any charges for services not covered by your insurance plan or non-reimbursable charges will be discussed with you before these services are provided.
Geriatric care management services are billed at an hourly rate. We provide services to fit your budget needs. An additional bill rate or 1 1/2 times the regular rate per hour is billed for care provided after office hours, weekends, and holidays (listed below).
A holiday bill rate is an additional 1 1/2 times the regular rate per hour and is billed for the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4th), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Service Deposit Policy: To initiate services, CareForce requires that you make a deposit equivalent to an estimate for one week of billed services. This is based on your needs. This deposit will be applied to your final bill when your care is discontinued. Any balance that exceeds your final bill will be refunded to you within 15 days of the end of service.
CareForce accepts payment by check, automated pay bill from your checking account or credit card. You can give CareForce permission to bill your credit card on a weekly basis and have CareForce send you the paid invoice or request the invoice be sent to you first and then you give CareForce permission to use your credit card each time. Payment with checks are preferred but not required.
If your hours of care increase significantly after you begin care with CareForce, CareForce may ask you to pay a larger deposit at the time that the hours of care increase.
Invoices will be sent weekly and are due within seven (7) days upon receipt. While CareForce, as a courtesy, will bill any third-party payers, you agree to accept full financial responsibility for all balances due should payment by any third-party be denied at any time and for any reason, or should the payments received by CareForce be less than the actual billed charges for services needed.
CareForce is happy to assist you with determining your long-term care insurance policy and/or third-party payment and what is needed for billing them. Because CareForce is a home health agency, we typically qualify to provide care that is reimbursed by long-term care insurance.
All of your financial information will be kept confidential and safe.
