Live-In Care

Do you or your loved one need someone with them around the clock for safety supervision or personal care needs, yet your/their sleep patterns at night are predictable? Is the nighttime assistance required fairly short and only once or twice through the night? Then Live-In Care may be your most affordable CareForce service for those needs.  A team of two caregivers provide care throughout the week: one aide arrives and stays for 3-4 days, while the next one arrives at the end of that time and stays for 3-4 days.  CareForce clinicians can help you decide if this is a good option.  CareForce does require our Live -In Nighttime Assessment shifts to assess the safety for you and our caregiver during the night.  Federal Wage and Hour Requires that your nighttime care needs be limited to once or twice during the nights, the caregiver sleeps in a separate room from you, and that there be a safe system for awakening our caregiver when you have needs at night.Ž˜£ž

  • A team of caregivers provides care around the clock
  • One caregiver works 4 days in a row, the other 3 days
  • The client requires care during the day
  • During the night, the client only requires one or two episodes of assistance to the toilet
  • The caregiver must get a “reasonable night’s sleep”
  • Caregiver does not sleep in the client’s bedroom / has separate sleeping space and at least a 3 inch comfortable mattress
  • A system of alarm/monitor set up so that client can wake the caregiver
  • Personal care, companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping
  • Caregiver is allowed to take three meal breaks in your home during the day
  • Because there is a smaller pool of caregivers who are willing and available to provide live-in care, CareForce cannot guarantee that you will begin with live-in care prices once you qualify.  Please see paragraph below about putting together a team and costs until we have your team of 2 live-ins. Please talk with your CareForce Clinical Supervisor regarding this very important component of ordering live-in care from CareForce.

Awake Night Service -8hr- Assess Safety for Live-In or Sleep Service: CareForce wants you, your loved one, and our caregiver to have a safe environment if you order live-in care or a sleep shift.  We require that you have two “awake” shifts at night before you transition to a live-in shift or a sleep shift.  We use these shifts to determine if you have a qualifying sleep pattern and if we have a working alert system to wake the caregiver for help.

If we have a qualified team of caregivers, Live-In Service – Private Home/Assisted Living (Please read important information below).

Your home care aide stays at your home for 3-4 days at a time to help you with all of your care and homemaking needs. Two aides share a 7 day cycle.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT LIVE-IN CARE STAFFING: Because there is a much smaller pool of  caregivers who are willing and available to provide live-in care, we cannot guarantee that you will receive round the clock care.  Sometimes we are unable to get a qualified live-in team right away, in that case, once the awake shifts are completed, we will have back to back 12 hour shifts. This also applies during caregiver vacations and sick leave if a live-in caregiver cannot be found for that time period.

Live-In Service – Private Home/Assisted Living – Couples: Your home care aide stays at your home for 3-4 days at a time to help you and a family member with all of your care and homemaking needs. Two aides share a 7 day cycle.

Sleep Service: Your home care aide helps you to get ready for bed, then sleeps at your home, then helps you get ready for your day in the AM.  This requires 2 nights of Safety Assessment Awake shifts prior to beginning a sleep shift service.
